Questions people ask
- Which Indian languages can the narration be in?
- Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi and Gujarati, alongside English. The voices are generated, not translated captions read aloud — the dialogue is written in the language, then performed.
- Do I have to type my idea in that language?
- No. Write the idea in English or in your own language, whichever is easier, and choose the language you want the finished film to be in. Many people find it fastest to describe the story in English and have it performed in Malayalam or Hindi.
- Will the pronunciation sound right?
- For full sentences it reads naturally. Proper nouns, place names and English words dropped into a regional sentence are the usual weak spot. If a line sounds off you can rewrite that line and re-record just that scene rather than the whole film.
- Can two characters speak different languages?
- Each film is performed in one language, with a distinct voice per character. Mixed-language dialogue inside a single film isn't supported yet.
- Are subtitles included?
- Yes — a subtitle file comes with every film, in the language it was performed in, so it works on mute in a feed.
